Dr. Jol Faria

I organise, analyse and visualise large genomic and clinical data sets. I develop and implement statistical approaches to predict therapeutic phenotypes, for drug discovery and in clinical settings.

My expertise is in R programming, statistics and computational drug discovery.

Following a post-doctoral appointment in Biology (Princeton), I pursued my passion for Statistics by studying Maths at UBC, and an MSc in Applied Statistics (Oxford; Distinction).

Prior to Genomics plc, I worked for a biotechnology company: e-Therapeutics, and developed novel pre-clinical statistical algorithms to predict drug efficacy and safety.

I enjoy cricket, running, swimming and surfing where I can.
