Dr. James Floyd

Scientist

I am a statistical geneticist and provide genetic and genomic data analysis. Previously I analysed NGS data from whole exomes, whole genomes and transcriptomes.

I studied for my PhD at the University of Edinburgh and the Roslin Institute, and finished my thesis whilst concurrently undertaking postdoc work in Cambridge.

A year after completing my PhD I was first author on a paper published in Nature Genetics:

Genome-wide association study identifies 12 new susceptibility loci for primary biliary cirrhosis

Outside of work I enjoy sport, reading, socialising and computer games.
