Dr. Chris Franklin

Senior Scientist

I work on the integration and analysis of large-scale genetic and genomic studies.

I’ve spent many years working on a wide range of genomic-wide association, exome and genome sequencing studies to identify genes involved in complex diseases and phenotypes. And my proudest moment in my career so far was presenting this work from a Uganda genome-wide association cohort at the ASHG in 2014.

I did my PhD at the University of Edinburgh before moving to the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute for post-doctoral work.

Outside work I like to swim, do archery, and cook.
