I analyse functional genomic datasets with special emphasis on single-cell data

I completed my PhD in John Marioni’s group in Cambridge; my main project was compiling a large reference dataset charting early embryonic development in the mouse.
This was followed-up by work in chimaeric embryos, where some cells harbour lethal mutations while others are healthy: this is an elegant system to study the role of essential developmental genes without gross abnormality of the embryo.

I like board-games and beer (sometimes at the same time) and am keen to get back into doing some more karting, which I did as an undergraduate.
